Seattle Day Trip

On Thursday morning, bright and early, we drove out to Seattle to take my (Sasha's) mom to the airport.  We were sad to see her go after all the pampering she had been giving us, but we were excited to explore the city.

It took about an hour and forty-five minutes to get to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, and we decided to skip the ferries (and thus the fees and waiting) and drive all the way around the Puget Sound.  Considering the 40-something extra miles, we made good time!

The weather was perfect... not too cold, but crisp and overcast until mid-afternoon.  After a cup of coffee and a quick look at the Seattle Space Needle, we took about a mile walk along the water to the Seattle Aquarium.  The Aquarium was really cool and we saw some amazing creatures including, but not limited to, a Giant Pacific Octopus, sea otters, sea horses, and millions of fish!

After that we strolled through Pike Place Market and picked up some dollar LPs for our collection before heading back to the den.
